RBC Signals Welcomes Ron Faith as President and Chief Operating Officer

Space Communication Company Announces Year Over Year Growth Figures, Initiatives, Goals

Seattle, WA (October 17, 2018) –RBC Signals, a multi-national company delivering flexible and cost-effective space communication services, today announced Ron Faith has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. A veteran technology and c-suite executive with proven experience moving startup businesses into established category leaders, Faith’s appointment comes at a pivotal point in the company’s progression. RBC Signals recently recorded a 500 percent year over year (YOY) growth in the number of satellite passes supported as well as a doubling of the firm’s global network size during the same period from 2017 to 2018. The company is also pursuing its Series A fundraising. These milestones follow recently announced strategic initiatives which further position RBC Signals toward meeting its business goals.

“The entire RBC Signals staff welcomes Ron Faith to the team,” said Christopher Richins, founder and chief executive of RBC Signals. “His expertise and proven success in growing emerging technology enterprises in both sophistication and size is invaluable to our business at this key stage of our development.”

In his new role, effective immediately, Ron Faith will lead key aspects of the RBC Signals business including sales, marketing, finance, human resources and legal. Faith

brings deep experience in enterprise cloud and intelligent edge computing as the CEO of Datacastle (acquired by Carbonite – NASDAQ: CARB) and providing mission critical infrastructure services for value added data communications products as the VP and GM of Mobile and Broadband Commerce at Qpass (acquired by Amdocs – NASDAQ: DOX).

Established in 2015, RBC Signals introduced its innovative sharing economy model to the rapidly expanding space communication market. With a hybrid approach using the underutilized capacity of existing partner-owned ground stations across the globe, as well as RBC-owned infrastructure, the company has established an easier, cost-effective means for commercial satellite customers to move data between space and the ground.

The company recently achieved key milestones toward two strategic business goals: expanding the company’s wholly-owned multi-mission ground stations, and the firm’s entrance into optical communications. In September 2018 RBC Signals completed construction of an all-new arctic multi-mission ground station in Deadhorse, Alaska. The company also announced a collaboration with the Ecuadorian Civilian Space Agency (EXA) for laser communications capabilities for LEO, lunar and deep space missions.

“Over the past year, we have doubled the size of our global network, as we aggressively ramped up our infrastructure and capabilities for operators,” said Richins. “With the recent addition of the Alaska station and our move into optical communications, we are proving our commitment to addressing the complex needs of today’s operators, many of whom seek alternatives to existing legacy stations, as well as to traditional RF technologies.”

RBC Signals is currently working toward its Series A financing round. Proceeds from the financing will be used to fuel continued growth as well as augment the company’s product offerings for satellite operators.
